Our Story
On June 24th, 1984 Chicago Line Cruises hosted the very first Architectural River Cruise in Chicago.
Over 35 years and numerous skyscrapers later, our award-winning Docents continue to share Chicago’s iconic Architecture with guests from around the globe.
We’re a family-run business located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood on private docks along the historic Ogden Slip.

FAQs
DO I NEED TO PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
Because many of our cruises become sold out, we highly recommend you purchase tickets in advance, either online or by calling 312-527-2002.
DO I NEED TO PRINT THE TICKETS I PURCHASED ONLINE?
No. Please check-in 30 minutes prior to departure and provide your last name and booking number (from the confirmation email we sent you).
ARE TICKETS REFUNDABLE?
No, however tickets (purchased at the ticket counter or from Chicagoline.com) may be exchanged for other dates and/or times. Any special promotional tickets cannot be exchanged for other dates and/or times.
ARE YOU LOCATED AT NAVY PIER?
No, we are located just north of the Centennial Fountain at 465 N. McClurg Court (on a hidden branch of the Chicago River called the “Ogden Slip”). We are located south or behind the Target Store and Pinstripes.
ARE YOUR BOATS COVERED?
All our vessels include both open decks and covered areas. Please dress accordingly, as all vessels are open-air and not enclosed.
ARE FOOD AND DRINKS AVAILABLE ONBOARD?
Starbucks Coffee, Twinings Tea, Coca-Cola soft drinks and lemonade are all complimentary. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased with a credit card on the boat.
WILL THE CRUISE DROP US OFF AT THE SAME PLACE IT DEPARTS?
Yes, the 90 minute cruise will depart from Illinois and McClurg, 465 N. McClurg Ct., (Ogden Slip) and will return to the same location.
